Still Here

So there's nothing more tedious than a blog posting about having been remiss in posting on one's blog and promising to do better, but that's where I find myself...


I took the summer off in terms of updating here, but plan to get back at it, starting now. Hopefully I'll actually have some news to report in the coming weeks -- it was a quietly productive summer, mostly spent slogging away on the second novel.  More on that soon.

The big news for the moment is that the paperback of A Cure for Night will be released next week from Vintage/Black Lizard.  Though I can't pretend to objectivity, I think it looks great.  Hopefully the paperback will expose the book to a bunch of new readers -- I've certainly bought far more paperbacks than I have hardcovers, and now that the reviews are in a potential reader has a little more to go on. TERRIFIC!!! what a great read! really helped me get thru the night....."cure for night" viscerally helped me with my night......loved it. Flowed.....great dialogue.....really believed it.......wonderful! best novel i've read this year.
